Welcome to the website of Dr. Marcos Berry. We are a team of surgeons and health professionals dedicated to helping you achieve your weight loss goals. In 2001, Dr. Berry recognized the need for a program of laparoscopic surgery for weight loss in Chile. He made his 1st team Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass in Chile. It has since operated on more than 1,500 patients in our country and tens outside our country. His team involving certified surgeons specializing in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, which uses more advanced techniques to perform surgery weight loss, and a team of support in Clinical Nutrition and Bariatric Psychology. We offer all the techniques of laparoscopic bariatric include: gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, gastric banding, metabolic surgery for diabetes, gastric balloon, endoscopic techniques and revision surgeries (if reganancia weight after surgery for obesity). Our comprehensive program has successfully met the highest standards set by the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and IFSO (International Federation of Societies for Surgery of Obesity) and is recognized for its standards of excellence.

Dr. Berry has 3 jobs IFSO Congress 2011 in Hamburg, Germany. August 31 to September 3, 2011.

There were over 2000 bariatric surgeons worldwide, Dr. Berry presented 3 papers on the podium during the Congress plenary.

Dr. Berry has trained 10 bariatric surgeons throughout Chile, through a Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at Clinica Las Condes. These digestive surgeons remaining six months full-time to Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery at Clinica Las Condes, under the direction of Dr. Mark Berry. Subsequently develop their specialty in different hospitals throughout Chile. The next Fellow to conduct its training between July 2010 and January 2011. This fellowship has certification and recognition of the University of Chile.

Dr. Marcos Berry last Congress participates in the 2nd World Congress on Interventional Therapies for type 2 Diabetes New York, NY, USA, March 28-30, 2011.

Consensus was reached that the surgery is a good treatment option for patients with diabetes type 2 (DM2) in selected patients and in whom medical treatment is not enough.

Dr. Marcos Berry was invited to present at the last Congress of SAGES (American Society of Surgeons laparoscopic and endoscopic), on April 1, 2011.
