Dr. Marcos Berry is Staff Surgeon and Head of the Unit for Bariatric Surgery (Obesity) of Clinica Las Condes, Santiago-CHILE is a surgeon specializing in Digestive Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic and Obesity Surgery.
Dr. Berry has operated over 2000 Obesity surgery patients in Chile and Latin America.
Dr. Berry did his surgical training full 7 years in the U.S., with a subspecialty in advanced laparoscopic surgery at the Institute of Maryland and MISTI obesity surgery at Montefiore Hospital in New York. It is also a graduate of the American Board of Surgery since 1999, the highest distinction that can reach a surgeon in the United States.
Member of SAGES (Society of Gastrointestinal Surgeons of the U.S.), IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity) and the Society of Surgeons of Chile. He was elected Director of the Obesity Surgery Society for the years 2007-2008. He is currently past president. Trains, trains and certifies other surgeons in Chile and Latin America in the

techniques of bariatric surgery., Having already formed> 20 surgeons from Chile and other countries.
His team has been a pioneer in Laparoscopic Surgery for Obesity in Chile, performing the first laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic banding first in our country 10 years ago. Then put the first intra-gastric balloon in Chile for 8 years.
He has also pioneered the Metabolic Surgery focused on the improvement and resolution of type 2 diabetes. During the last 3 years for patients with or without obesity.
